One of the biggest surprises that came out from the PlayStation 5 reveal event was the announcement of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Going by how the game was revealed, many assumed that this is the sequel to Marvel’s Spider-Man, but now Insomniac Games has clarified that this is a standalone game that is the “next adventure of Marvel’s Spider-Man universe.”
Another thing that many people thought this new game is was enhanced or a remaster of Marvel’s Spider-Man made for PlayStation 5 and that Miles Morales is a new expansion of the game, possibly similar to The City That Never Sleeps, a three-chapter narrative following the events of the main game which was DLC for the first game. A source has clarified to Bloomberg News even further and revealed that it’s similar in scope to Uncharted: The Lost Legacy which was going to be DLC for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End but ended up being its own game.
In Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, “players will experience the rise of Miles Morales as he masters new powers to become his own Spider-Man. With PS5’s ultra-fast SSD, players can near-instantaneously fast-travel across Marvel’s New York City, or feel the tension of each one of Miles’s web-swings, punches, web shots, and venom blasts with the DualSense wireless controller’s haptic feedback. Highly-detailed character models and enhanced visuals across the game intensify the story of Miles Morales as he faces great, new challenges while learning to be his own Spider-Man.”
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be released Holiday 2020.
