Manga Eden Zero Gets a Video Game Release in 2025

Back at the 2020 Tokyo Game Show, Konami had announced a video game adaptation of Hiro Mashima’s Eden Zero. Gematsu reports the game is set in the style of a 3d action RPG. The game is set for release on Playstation 5, Xbox Series, X|S and PC in 2025.

Blue Garden is the setting and Shiki is the protagonist of the story in the manga. Some of the playable characters will include Shiki, Rebecca, Witch, and Homura. Combat gameplay is fleshed out with combos and finishing moves. The fighting styles found vary between characters including long range, short range and melee. The game will be expanded with in-game stories and side content set within Blue Garden. Some side-quests involve characters such as Elise, and Comi battling space pirates. A notable feature is that these stories are not available within the manga and are exclusive to the game’s Blue Garden.

A combat mechanic that players can take advantage of is Overboost. Despite taking damage you won’t be knocked back. The game will feature special skills and signature moves, each character will have their own unique movesets.  The game will be highly customizable and feature 700 cosmetic items that will not affect the stats of the characters. On the planet of Blue Garden there are 200 quest to undertake.

The trailer for the game starts with Shiki in a battle stance saying hes going to see Mother.  Shiki battles a wave of soldiers and finishes with a descending aerial fist punisher. Rebecca is seen asking Shiki, whether he wants to visit the outside world? she battles soldiers with acrobatics. We are introduced to Weisz Steiner a gunweilding character who’s finisher involves raining bullets upon his enemies. Homura makes an appearance saying she must find “Her.” Her finisher involves floating swords. We see Shiki fight Elise over ownership of the Interstellar Warship. A silver haired character attempts to befriend a demonic looking entity, the trailer ends.
