According to the Steam page description, this is the story of the game, “In the near future, humanity is teetering on the edge of extinction, subjugated by the fearsome Poison, a plant monster that alters the space-time continuum. Led by the enigmatic Maliki, a handful of temporal survivors have joined forces and are coordinating their efforts from the Domaine, a haven outside of time that is so far safe from the threat.”
Players will play as Sand and travel through the ages to repair the continuum. Players will be given a Chrono Pack that has the ability to manipulate time. Players will also be joined by Becky, Fang and Fenimale to combat against the monsters that have invaded past worlds. From the looks of the trailer, players will be able to combine abilities with the other characters.
Not only is Maliki: Poison of the Past a combat-based RPG, there is also time for exploration of the Domaine, the place to recharge from the battles. Players will be able to create their own sanctuary and plant, harvest, cook, craft, and take care of the Thousand-Root Tree that is holding back time.
