Mai Shiranui Gets A Gameplay Reveal Trailer For Street Fighter 6 As Her DLC Release Draws Near

Capcom, having recently released a teaser trailer for guest character Mai Shiranui last month just released gameplay trailer featuring the Fatal Fury character part of the ‘Year 2 Character Pass/Ultimate Pass’ for Street Fighter 6. Gematsu reports that she will launch on February 5 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PC.

Mai is the newest Master in the game’s World Tour mode, the second guest character in Street Fighter history and features trademark moves inspired by her previous appearance in SNK titles.

Capcom is showing the character some adoration with a cosmetic outfit that resembles  her appearance in the Fatal Fury Series, and a second outfit resembling her appearance in Fatal Fury: City of Wolves; you’ll be able to attain this outfit with Fighter Coins or maximizing your bond with Mai in World Tour.

Sports Illustrated explains that Mai seems to oppress her opponents through controlling the battlefield; particulary with flaming projectiles. Mai’s moveset is composed of Kachousen a flaming projectile that when held down cannot be neutralized, Ryuuben a flaming charge attack, Hissatsu Shinobi Bachi  a cartwheel to elbow attack, Hishou Ryuuenjin, Mai’s flaming  anti-air dragon punch, Kagerou no Mai which is Mai’s super where she sets the field ablaze, Chou Hissatsu  Shinobi Bachi, Mai’s Level 2 Super where she can evade projectiles and rush her opponent, and  Shiranui Ryuu Enbu Ada Zakura, Mai’s Level 3 Super Art where she strikes her opponent in a series fan strikes.

Fans may purchase the Year 2 Character Pass or Ultimate Pass to unlock Mai or even use Fighter Coins to purchase the character.  Capcom has seemingly crafted another competitive fighter in their long running series as fans have taken note of some of her deadlier abilities and playing style. The much anticipated wait for this fan favorite  is just a few short weeks away.
