Littlewood Launching Later In June After Kickstarter Support

After a very successful Kickstarter campaign Sean Young, backed by the SmashGames publisher, is ready to bring the quaint Littlewood to gamers. Nearly 4,000 contributors to the campaign made the project possible and it will be releasing later this month. Checkout the Kickstarter trailer released by Young at the beginning of the year that’s gathered and intrigued so many potential players to his cause:

Littlewood is self-described as a “peaceful and relaxing RPG” that takes place after the world has already been saved. It is a time of rebuilding and growth in the town, as well as its inhabitants. The beginning to this kind of story is interesting because the main conflict has already occurred, the Dark Wizard has been defeated and the world of Solemn has been saved. Although, there is no memory of what it took to accomplish this. Players will explore fishing towns, caves used for mining, enchanted forests, and many more different types of areas. Peace in the home town is key, and players need to relate to the people and convince them to stay while trying to unlock memories of the past in the process.

There will be plenty of rare materials and items to find from adventures that can be used in various crafting and trading systems. Materials can be chopped, mined, caught, and fished from all over, which will eventually help build new structures in town like mills, libraries, and taverns. By fulfilling townspeople’s request, perhaps they can be convinced to remain. Developing these relationships is important and some can even lead to dating and marriage depending on the heart level with that person. Currently there are no plans to incorporate multiplayer into Littlewood. Some early backers have become Beta Testers who have had their hands on the game since March even before its Early Access.

Littlewood will be available on the Steam store for PC, Mac, and Linux later in June with Young having hopeful plans to eventually have a release on consoles.
