Set to release October 30th for Europe and November 6th for Australia and New Zealand, Nintendo has announced special edition Nintendo Switch console. While this console has a Fortnite themed design and dock, this design also comes with in-game perks. The biggest stand out for this entire game bundle is that there is yet to be an announcement for this console to hit the American market.
The contents of the box include the Nintendo Switch console (which has the Fortnite design on the back), the exclusive yellow and blue Joy-Con remotes, the Nintendo Switch dock (with special edition Fortnite design), Fortnite already pre-installed onto the console, and the Wildcat Bundle download code (that gives access to the Wildcat Outfit, three other outfits, two Back Bling styles), and 2000 V-Bucks. The price of the entire box is already set at $469.99 AU. Another aspect about the pre-installed games and cosmetics is that if players already don’t have a season pass, they will not be stuck with the default gear, and will instead receive their cosmetics right away.
This is also not the first time Nintendo has released a collab with its highly popular Nintendo Switch console. Animal Crossings: New Horizon has also seen collab with the popular gaming company in their own style of limited edition Nintendo Switches (which are also set to have a small restock in Australia sometime next week as well).
As this is not the first time Nintendo has released a Nintendo Switch bundle that came with Fortnite bonuses, this is certainly the first time they have released something without the American demographic in mind. As there are no lead-ups or hints for North American release just yet, the official Fortnite Twitter account has also been silent about the questions as well. However, there is still the news of a new Switch console being developed for the holiday season to be released everywhere.
