The bonus episode of Life is Strange: Before the Storm promised by Square Enix is now available for download. ‘Farewell’ sees the return of Life is Strange protagonist Max Caulfield, as well as the return of Max and Chloe’s original voice actresses, Hannah Telle and Ashly Burch.
“We can’t wait for fans to play Farewell, Max’s return is the perfect way to end the season and we can’t wait for fans to experience Life is Strange with her one last time,” said Jeff Litchford, Vice President at Before the Storm developer Deck Nine Games. “We want to thank the fans who have enjoyed this incredible journey with us, we know they will miss Chloe, Rachel and Max as much as we will.”
Hints of a new Life is Strange installment were also given in a statement by Jon Brooke, Vice President of Brand at Square Enix External Studios. “After following their journeys for the last few years, it’s time to fondly wave farewell to Max and Chloe,” he said. “The torch is being passed back to Michel Koch and Raoul Barbet’s team at DONTNOD Entertainment, the creators of the original game who’ve been solely dedicated to creating the next Life is Strange for the past two years. We look forward to sharing an exciting new story and characters in the coming months.”
The trailer for Before the Storm‘s ‘Farewell’ episode is below. The full game is available to play now, and Square Enix has also announced a limited edition boxed set for retail purchase, available as of today (March 6).
