Lies of P Has Sold One Million Copies in Less Than a Month

It looks like Neowiz Games’ and Round8 Studio’s newest IP Lies of P has taken the world by storm. The title, which launched last month on September 19, 2023, has been generally well received by players and critics, making it one of the better-reviewed titles of the year thus far. So much so that both studio’s have revealed an amazing new sales statistic for the title. Lies of P has now sold more than one million copies, and doing so in less than a month since it became available.

That number alone is an impressive feat in an of itself, but there is another factor that makes this such an amazing achievement. Lies of P is also available on the Game Pass, Microsoft’s online subscriptions service. That means that despite being readily available to download and play for only a fee, people still actually purchased the title over the course of less than four weeks when it came out. Not only that, but within that time frame, it managed to cross the one million threshold as well. It’s fairly safe to say that Neowiz Games’ and Round8 have a major hit on their hands.

Lies of P is a Soulsborne like title that is loosely based off off Carlo Collodi’s Pinocchio tale, with some unique takes and mechanics that sets it apart. As we mentioned earlier, the title officially released on September 19, 2023, but it actually came day earlier on the Game Pass, making it accessible to those with a subscription for 24 hours before anyone else. Whether or not that had any impact on this new sales number is unknown, but the fact remains that Lies of P is on track to become one of the most successful titles of year.
