Warner Bros. Games has posted an official launch trailer for LEGO® Batman™: Legacy of the Dark Knight, which will be coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 on September 18. Switch 2 players can start pre-ordering either the standard or deluxe versions of the game starting today. Those who pre-order the game will receive The Dark Knight Returns Batsuit cosmetic, which was inspired by the comic book series.
The deluxe edition includes access to the Mayhem Collection DLC, the ability to play as Joker and Harley Quinn, and a new story mission to break out of Arkham Asylum. The DLC features a new Mayhem Mode, super-villain suits from the Sinister Pack, more Batcave items, and an additional vehicle. Players will also have access to the Legacy Collection DLC, which adds new suits, vehicles, and Batcave items inspired by the Batman: Arkham video game series and Batman Beyond TV series.
There will be a free update available for all LEGO® Batman™:Legacy of the Dark Knight owners, adding an enhanced difficulty level. Players will face even greater challenges, but is a perfect setting for those wanting to further test their skills and combat precision.
For those unfamiliar with the game, the main story centers around Bruce Wayne’s journey to becoming the legendary hero of Gotham City while forging bond with allies. There are seven playable characters, which include Batman, Jim Gordon, Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, Catwoman, and Talia al Ghul. They each have their own unique skills and individual outfits. Batman has a wide collection of suits that were inspired by his 86-year legacy.
The official launch trailer showcases infamous villains Batman has faced throughout his years as the Caped Crusader and Dark Knight. Switch 2 players can look forward to facing off against Joker, Poison Ivy, Scarecrow, Bane, and many more legendary foes. This is one game sure to be noteworthy on the Nintendo Switch 2.
