Koei Tecmo and Gust have opened digital pre-orders for Blue Reflection Quartet, a magical-girl RPG collection bringing together four entries in the Blue Reflection series, and released the collection’s second trailer ahead of its July 30, 2026 launch. The game is coming to PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
The second trailer gives another look at the four-part package, using the series track “OVERDOSE” while showing the girls’ school life, Reflector battles, and scenes from across the connected Blue Reflection projects. Koei Tecmo Japan also opened a short promotional campaign to mark the PV2 release, with prizes including character hangers, clear files, and a mini illustration board signed by Mel Kishida. Blue Reflection Quartet includes Blue Reflection, Blue Reflection: Ray, Blue Reflection: Sun, and Blue Reflection: Second Light in one release. The first Blue Reflection has been updated with higher-resolution character and environment textures, new visual effects, faster exploration movement, and autosave. The original game follows Hinako Shirai, a former ballet dancer who becomes a Reflector after an injury changes the direction of her life.
Blue Reflection: Ray, which first aired as a TV anime in 2021, has been adapted into game form for Quartet. The story follows Hiori and Ruka through the Common as they revisit memories tied to the anime’s final section. The collection’s version adds a new prologue and epilogue to connect Ray with the rest of the series. Koei Tecmo has also shown part of a new Mel Kishida illustration added for Ray, which can be viewed through the in-game Gallery. Blue Reflection: Sun has also been remade for the collection after originally launching as a mobile and PC title in 2023. Its story is presented through 24 character events, with battles rebuilt using the system from Blue Reflection: Second Light. Sun takes place between Ray and Second Light and follows a group of girls fighting in a world affected by Ash. Blue Reflection: Second Light returns with eight additional characters from Ray and Sun joining battles. The updated version also adds Yuzuki and Lime to Photo Mode, along with faster battle speed, faster movement during exploration, and event fast-forwarding. The collection includes a Reference database with chronological flowcharts and character relationship charts covering the series. A Gallery feature is also included for Mel Kishida’s artwork.
Digital pre-orders include a set of four special photo frames for use in Blue Reflection: Second Light’s Photo Mode. A separate free limited-time “Quartet” photo frame will be available until August 12, 2026. Koei Tecmo notes that the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 versions are separate products, and save data cannot be transferred between them.
