PlayStation recently announced not one but two State of Plays would be coming this week. As per usual, not much was revealed except the announcement of an extended look at Final Fantasy VII Revelation. Here are the updates and announcements from PlayStation Studios are third-party partners.
One of the most anticipated movies everyone is waiting for is the Resident Evil reboot from Zach Cregger, the creative mind behind Barbarian and Weapons. Cregger’s vision is set during the events paralleling Resident Evil 2 and follows a medical courier who must fight through a viral outbreak of infected monsters in Raccoon City during a delivery.
The clip shown today during the State of Play follows Bryan, the courier as he makes his way down a long stretch of road dealing with infected falling from the rooftops above and obstacles in his path on the ground.
Insomniac Games provided a final look at Marvel’s Wolverine with a new story trailer showcasing Logan and Team X’s struggle against Bolivar Trask, Omega Red, Lady Deathstrike, and more.
Ghost of Yotei Complete Edition was announced last month, bringing all of the content that has been previously released alongside a new narrative expansion, and an all-new single player combat survival mode called Most Wanted. Today, during State of Play, Sucker Punch shared the first look at the new mode and revealed that Jin Saki will be one of the playable characters players can choose from.

A new story trailer for the upcoming expansion for Monster Hunter Wilds, Ascendance, was released. Following the events of the main story, the Forbidden Lands Expedition Team is beset by the colossal Elder Dragon Lao-Shan Lung. As they prepare for its eventual reappearance, the Team discovers the Skybound Eyrie: a new locale floating high above the clouds that features ancient ruins and undiscovered endemic life.
The upcoming expanaion is set to release in 2027.

PlayStation and LEGO have shared the first look at the all-new collaboration between the two, the LEGO PlayStation, a replica of the original PlayStation console and PlayStation controller, a near 1:1 scale of the console.
A new look at Final Fantasy Resonance was released. The new trailer also reveals that Sephiroth will be making an appearance in the game. A free demo featuring the entire first chapter was also announced. Save data from the demo can be carried over to the full game which is set to launch on October 22, 2026.
