Nothing reveals DLC early like a good datamine. Dataminer SergioM3 has datamined the DLC characters for the recently released Jump Force. For those who aren’t familiar with SergioM3, he has an extremely strong track record in datamining future DLC and content for anime games. In the past, he has discovered DLC for games such as Dragon Ball Xenoverse, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker, My Hero Academia: One’s Justice, and more. Needless to say, he is a reputable source for uncovering potential DLC and his word is more than just blatant speculation.
According to SergioM3, there are nine DLC characters that are coming to Jump Force. Most of the DLC characters come from ongoing manga series or manga series with ongoing sequels except for Tōshirō Hitsugaya and Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez from Bleach as well as Seto Kaiba from Yu-Gi-Oh. The rest of the characters are as follows: All Might and Katsuki Bakugo from My Hero Academia, Biscuit from Hunter x Hunter, a version of Buu from Dragon Ball, Madara Uchiha from Naruto, and finally, Law from One Piece. It’s interesting to see how each of these DLC characters are additions to series with significant representation within the game already, barring My Hero Academia and Yu-Gi-Oh who each only have one representative currently. SergioM3 has also found hidden accessories within the game, it’s still currently unknown whether those will be distributed within future events or DLC.
Jump Force has been receiving plenty of support from Bandai Namco, with future patches being prepared to fix current problems. With all this support, expect more news on the DLC soon, whether in the form of a season pass or just an announcement. Considering the other characters found in the datamine that may or may not also be DLC, a formal announcement would certainly clear things up.
