Ironhide Games the creator of the Kingdom Rush series now has new title in development that sets players in outer space. Iron Marines is an brand new real time strategy game that puts players in an Sci-Fi setting. It has a 2D cartoon style much similar to Kingdom Rush. Players control commanders who lead soldiers in a fight against alien forces. Iron Marines will contain a variety of weapons and mechs for players to collect and use while battling aliens. The fast action RTS game boasts “countless enemies, adrenaline, tactics, and silly humor await players in this upcoming title.”
According to a recent Intel Report The game will include 9 special units that players will be able to command. A few of these units will include Armies, Mechs, and Alien mindbenders. There will also be a total of 24 missions between campaign and special operations which the developer claims will be quite difficult but fun for players. Also the game will include more than 50 achievement plus missions and other secrets for players to discover.
Players will be tasked to face 20 different species of lifeforms ranging from robotic monsters to alien life forms. Ironhide Games also revealed a mech called AJAX whom nobody had the ability to pilot until a janitor with a dream stepped up to the plate. The video below shows some gameplay of AJAX in action.
Ironhide Games stated that they will provide even more details about this new title within the next Intel report. Iron Marines is set to be released sometime this year.
