InvertMouse Announces Official Final Demo Released For CLEA

InvertMouse recently announced the newest demo for their upcoming fully-voiced adventure game, CLEA. The team has published a number of titles in the past, including The Last Birdling, Without Within (series), Cursed Sight, and many more. Similar to previous games, CLEA will mainly be story-based and showcase a fantastically dark, anime-inspired art style.

The studio announced the game’s official trailer on their YouTube channel just last week. Take a look.

CLEA is a psychological puzzle-adventure game about two siblings trying to escape from their home, now crawling with dangerous creatures called Chaos Servants. Their parents’ experiments are now freely roaming the hallways, and they are on the hunt.

The goal of this game appears to be: stay far, far, very far away from the Chaos Servants. Clea, with her brother close behind her, will need to sneak through the mansion looking for resources to aid in their escape. Players will need to keep a sharp ear out for approaching servants, peek under doors, and hide out in closets or other rooms until the coast is clear to continue. Find the keys, solve puzzles, and find a way out. Also, be on the lookout for scattered memories in the form of orbs that hold the dark past and many secrets of the Whitlock family.

Players will also be able to customize the character’s attire by unlocking the many different dresses throughout the game. The developer posted shots of the various costume choices that will be available for Clea. Each design was illustrated by Arisa Chibara, with more on the way.

CLEA will be launching on the Steam Store next week, July 10th. Along with English, the game will also be playable in a variety of languages such as Portuguese, French, Dutch, and Spanish. Wishlist the title to be notified when it becomes available.

For those who would like to try their hand at the demo, you can find the downloads for Windows, Mac, and Linux here. Good luck, and watch your back.
