Horizon Zero Dawn’s Aloy Is Making An Appearance In Genshin Impact

On July 22nd, 2021, Guerrilla Games and miHoYo announced that a cross-over is in the works. Aloy, the protagonist from the award-winning Horizon Zero Dawn, will be featured for a limited time within the world of Teyvat in Genshin Impact.

And of course, to go with this announcement, fans get to see some incredible new art of Aloy as miHoYo gives the huntress a new, anime-styled look to match their other wide array of characters.

Aloy comes to Genshin Impact as a five-star character with unique combos, cryo elemental abilities, and one-of-a-kind animations. Aloy will also come alongside the release of a four-star bow, but miHoYo has not announced how this new weapon will be released.

Aloy will become available for Genshin Impact players to unlock when the new 2.2 version is released. When that day comes, anyone with an adventure rank of 20 or higher will be able to unlock Aloy when they log into Genshin Impact via the PlayStation 4 or PlayStation5. And, thanks to the new cross-save mechanic that was introduced into the game in Version 2.0, Aloy will be playable on all Genshin Impact platforms after she is unlocked on the PlayStation.

While miHoYo still has a lot to reveal about Aloy’s appearance in Genshin Impact, as it stands, it seems as if Aloy will only be available for the duration of the 2.2 patch.

This cameo comes in timed perfectly to hype up fans for both the new Version 2.0 of Genshin Impact and the upcoming Horizon Zero Dawn sequel Forbidden West, which is coming later this year. And, although Aloy’s adventures in Teyvat will be brief, her arrival still gives fans of either game something to look forward to. So make sure you log on to Genshin Impact via the PS4 or PS5 to dive into action with the legendary machine-hunter Aloy!

Genshin Impact is available for free download on the PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Android, iOS, and Microsoft Windows. Horizon Zero Dawn is a PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows exclusive title.
