Honkai Star Rail Update 3.0 Releases January 15

Developer Mihoyo have announced the 3.0 update to their free-to-play roleplaying game Honkai Star Rail. The update is titled “Paean of Era Nova.” Gematsu has reported that the update will launch on January 15 on PlayStation 5, PC, iOS and Android. A PlayStation 4 version is in the works.

Featured in the update is a new story chapter and setting Amorpheus.  A new mission will begin with the 3.0 update and end in update 3.7 including new maps and playable characters.

Upon entering the celestial body Amorpheus players will encounter a new ally,  “Mem”. Mem can be summoned in battle and charge your energy dealing additional ‘True Damage’. The update also includes two five star characters that can join your teams. The first being the Herta, an emanator of erudition. She is an ice-type erudition character that deals area of effect type damage. Her in-battle ability is called ‘interpretation’ which she applies on enemies  and enables allies to use as well;  ‘interpretation’ is stacked on enemies, as is the ability to add on additional damage. Herta’s Ultimate allows you to select the highest interpretation stack and deal ice damage.

The second debuting character for the 3.0 update is Aglaea of Amorpheus.  Aglaea can summon an additional party member, Memosprite Garmentmaker to fight with you.  Combat with Aglea and Memosprite Garmentmaker is rhythm based; Attacks done jointly will raise Memosprite Garmentmaker’s speed.

Update Version 3.0 of Honkai Star Rail will include a special warp event.  Limited 5 star characters Lingsha, Feixiao, and Jade will be returning; Boothill, Robin, and Silver Wolf have received a limited time return. Character ‘March 7th’ will be receiving a Preservation outfit, which can be claimed after unlocking the ‘Characters’  function  and logging in for the 3.0 update. Honkai Star Rail is a flourishing IP with fans clamoring for more from the development teams at Mihoyo, this release is certain to make waves in and out of the fandom.
