Hitcents and Throughline Games Set June 18 Console Release for Forgotlings

Publisher Hitcents and developer Throughline Games have announced that Forgotlings will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on June 18, 2026. A console release date trailer accompanied the announcement. The game first launched for PC via Steam on February 17, 2026, with Epic Games Store and GOG versions also set to arrive on June 18.
Forgotlings is a cinematic side-scrolling action-adventure set in the Forgotten Lands, a world where lost objects continue to exist as living beings. Players take control of Fig, a posing doll who commands the sentient lightship Volare. Fig’s journey sends the crew across the Forgotten Lands as old conflicts between the forgotling tribes escalate. The game’s world is split between five tribes. The Videra are tied to knowledge and history, while the Aufero revolve around engineering and progress. The Servus are centered on protection and service, the Sonavi on travel and discovery, and the Karus on a spiritual connection to the anima stream. Fig’s route through the story depends on building trust across divided communities.

Gameplay mixes exploration, dialogue choices, light platforming, combat, and INA, an in-world strategic board game. Players can resolve some encounters through conversation, while others can involve swordplay, stealth attacks, or defending settlements from bandits and creatures. A Story Mode is included for players who want to focus more on the narrative side.

Throughline Games previously developed Forgotton Anne, which also centered on living forgotten objects. Forgotlings expands that setting with a larger focus on travel, tribal divisions, and action-oriented play. The game features hand-drawn animation, full voice acting, and a score featuring Theatre of Voices.

Forgotlings was originally announced in 2023 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The new June 18 date, however, applies to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with the Epic Games Store and GOG versions of the PC release arriving the same day. Forgotlings is available now on Steam.
