Hideo Kojima Is Thinking Of Making A Death Stranding Sequel

Fans of the recently released Death Stranding may be happy to hear that Hideo Kojima has expressed an interest in working with Norman Reedus again. According to Gamespot, in an interview with Variety back in November, Kojima announced that he has thought of working with Norman Reedus again if he were to create a sequel to Death Stranding. He didn’t specify what the new plot would be if he did so but he stated that he would  “start from zero” meaning that it might not be directly connected to the story of the first game. No further details or thoughts have been given by Hideo Kojima since the interview.

It is possible that Kojima may work with Norman Reedus for any new projects at Kojima Productions as the two appear to have formed a close friendship during their time working together for Death Stranding with Kojima even being invited over to Norman Reedus’ house for dinner. Recently Hideo Kojima hinted that he might get back into making Horror Video games through a Tweet showing him with the Horror movie The Eye so it is possible that he could work with Norman Reedus on a Horror video game. This wouldn’t be too hard to imagine as the two were initially going to work together on Silent Hills until its cancellation.

Recently Death Stranding had the Biggest IP launch in Japan with the game selling over 185,909 copies at retail only five days after its initial launch back on November 8th. According to Gamespot, Death Stranding is also set to feature an update in the middle of December. The update will allow players to increase text size, get rid of individual vehicles, as well as several other features that are currently unspecified. No new information is currently available as Hideo Kojima hasn’t broached the topic of a Death Stranding sequel again but it is possible that more information will be released at a later date.
