Delays in gaming are common, whether because a studio needs more time to polish the game or to move to a different month to give a game breathing room. For the most part, delays aren’t inherently bad, only when you’re itching to play the game as soon as possible. And in the case of Hell Let Loose: Vietnam, the game has been delayed from June 18 to August 13. This Delay is for the digital version of the game, which we’re going to release on June 18, and the reason for the Delay is player feedback from both closed and open beta testing.
Hell Let Loose: Vietnam takes place during the Vietnam War, so you will be able to experience giant 50v50 battles on 6 large-scale maps and be able to use historical vehicles, tactical options, and accurate weapons to take on other players. And recently, from May 29 to June 1, they had their open beta. And earlier than that, they had a closed beta, and based on player feedback and internal testing, they decided to delay the game to improve it.
They also released a press release for the Delay: “In addition to your feedback, we have also been carrying out intensive internal playtests for both the PC and console versions of Hell Let Loose: Vietnam, and we have identified several areas where additional development time will allow us to deliver a stronger launch experience. ”
“Therefore, after careful consideration, we have decided to delay the launch to August 13. This will ensure that Hell Let Loose: Vietnam launches at the quality level we expect, and you deserve.”
As much as it sucks to see a game you have been waiting for be delayed, it’s better to wait in order for them to get it right the first time. In the current gaming landscape, first impressions are the most important thing for an online multiplayer game, as they mean success or shutdown. And the fact that publisher Team17 and developer Expression Games agree that the game could use more polish means they care not only about the game but also about their players. So, hats off to the teams behind Hell Let Loose: Vietnam, and the bright side of this is that the wait isn’t too long, roughly around 2 months. Here’s to hoping they can work out the kinks in a short amount of time. Either way, Hell Let Loose: Vietnam will now release on August 13 for PC, Xbox, and PlayStation via digital download, while physical editions are slated for separate releases.
