Hearthstone: Fractured in Alterac Valley Gets New Update, 35 New Cards, and More on Feb. 15th

Hearthstone: Fractured in Alterac Valley is getting major update on Feb. 15^th, with a new patch update. The 22.4 patch update will include 35 new collectible cards within Onyxia’s Lair Mini-Set, Battlegrounds and Mercenaries updates, along with a new linear adventure featuring Bru’kan of the Darkspear clan.

Onyxia’s Lair Mini-Set will include 35 new cards for a total of 66 cards in the set, which will release on Feb. 15^th and will be available in Alterac Valley packs. Players will have the option to get the entire Mini-Set for $14.99 or 2000 Gold. Also, for the first time, Onyxia’s Lair Mini Set will include an all-Golden set available for purchase for $69.99. The new cards are being revealed by various content creators from Feb. 10-14^th.

With this update, three new heroes will be introduced into Battlegrounds: Varden Dawngrasp, Rokara, and Onyxia, along with their own buddies. These three heroes will formally release on March 1^st, but players with Battleground Perks will have early access before their release.

Bob’s Tavern will also be updated with new cosmetic items called Battlegrounds Finishers. These items are animations that replace the default Attack animation whenever your Hero wins a combat round. The first finisher in Bob’s Tavern is Astral Impact, which is a two-stage Finisher. This means it will show a special animation whenever your Hero wins a battle round and then a bigger animation when you deal 15 or more damage to your enemy. There’ll also be more Battlegrounds Finishers added in the future.

Additionally, Bob’s Tavern will feature two new Battlegrounds Boards for players to choose from: the Jade Gardens and the Cosmic Study Battlegrounds Boards. The Jade Gardens Battlegrounds Board will be available when the update releases on February 15th. The Cosmic Study Battlegrounds Board and the other new Battlegrounds cosmetics, such as the Battlegrounds Finisher, will become available on February 22^nd.

There will be a new limited-time event for Mercenaries on Feb. 22^nd, where players can complete ten event Tasks to earn the Chi-Ji Epic Mercenary Card, a Chi-Ji Mercenary Portrait, and over 1000 Mercenary Coins. During the first five days of the event, two new Tasks will be available per day, and players will have until Mar. 8^th to complete all ten Tasks. Five new Mercenaries will be included in the update: Long’xin, Chi-Ji, Xuen, Niuzao, and Yu’lon.

A new linear adventure is also coming out on Feb. 15^th that will feature Bru’kan of the Darkspear clan as he tries to stop the resurrected warlock Tamsin Roame. Players who defeat all eight bosses will get awarded one Shaman pack containing only Shaman cards from Standard.
