Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X Japanese Game Synopsis Trailer Released

Hastune Miku: Project Diva X is an upcoming Japanese rhythm game based around the incredibly popular and culturally transcendent Hatsune Miku Vocaloid character. The trailer for Project Diva X shows off the gameplay for this latest installment. It seems to play similarly to the other Hatsune Miku rhythm games, with the addition of “rush notes” that require the player to tap a number of notes in rapid succession. The trailer boasts about its HD quality and showcases the crisp new display for the game.

The trailer also shows off the game’s 30 song set list and a new “Live Quest” mode. The “Live Quest” mode is a move away from the traditional free play style of these games. The “Live Quest” mode would center around completing songs as part of the quest and then being treated to visual novel style cut scenes between the player and the Vocaloid characters in the game.

The Sega developed game will also feature variety of medley style songs, compromised of popular songs from past games. The home menu for Project Diva X has been adapted from the “Diva Room” found in previous versions of the game where the player has the ability to interact with the Vocaloids. This game will also have 60 new modules integrated into it, with a total of 300 being made available for the player. Even more modules may be acquired through DLC. There will also be DLC characters and the free play mode, although no longer the main focal point of the game will continue to be option for the player.

Project Diva X will be available for the PlayStation 4 and the PS Vita on August 30th in North America. The game will be released early in Japan August 25th, even though the PS Vita version has already been released there. The game will have cross over saving between PS Vita and PlayStation 4. The PlayStation4 version of the game will also be compatible with Sony’s PlayStation VR. You can view the trailer below.
