Halo: Outpost Discovery, an Interactive Halo Experience, Coming to Select Cities this Summer

Casual and die-hard Halo fans alike may be interested in a new, travelling Halo interactive experience coming this summer. Announced at Inside Xbox today, Halo: Outpost Discovery is an interactive fan exhibit, kind of like a Halo theme park, that is set to visit five US cities this summer. The three-day event will feature Halo history exhibits, laser tag battles, playable game experiences, and more. The event promises to deliver a fan experience like no other. You can check out the event trailer below.

For the series of events, 343 Industries has partnered with Herschend Live, an entertainment and theme park company responsible for such parks as Dollywood and Wild Adventures Theme Park, to bring Halo to life. Boasting more than 300,000 square feet of attractions, the event is sure to be one of a kind. Those looking for an interactive experience will find Halo-themed laser tag, a Covenant ship escape room, VR combat training, and a target range with some of your favorite Halo weapons.

Fans looking for a deeper dive into the Halo universe can attend multiple interactive panels, see a Warthog in real-life and visit the Hall of History “where you immerse yourself in the achievements and tribulations of humanity through a combination of informative graphics, artifacts, and tangible visuals,” according to the website. Fans of just the gameplay will also be pleased to find more than 200 game stations to play the latest games in the series.

Halo: Outpost Discovery is a unique and sure-to-be fan-pleasing spectacle, one that could possibly build a good amount of hype for the upcoming Halo Infinite. As of now, the game does not have a release date, but if it follows the series trend of fall releases (September-November), Halo: Outpost Discovery could be a fantastic springboard to a release announcement or even feature some early gameplay.

The traveling experience will be visiting five major cities this summer during the first year of the event. Each city will get one Halo-packed weekend of fun, starting in early July and running through the first of September. Will Halo: Outpost Discovery be coming to a city near you? Suit up Spartan.
