Yesterday, Developer 343 Industries held a Q&A session answering fan questions from Twitter during their second stream–Zeta Halo–about the upcoming Halo Infinite. Since the game’s delay, players have been excitedly awaiting more news and information about the game. The game will be released on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
A couple of summers ago, 343 developers referring to Halo Infinite said “This story will mark the beginning of a new chapter and challenge for the Chief, but it will also respect and continue threads that led to this point.” Subsequently, fans of the series are hoping for something that will remind them of the older games but with new features and challenges.
Unfortunately, the last video revealed that dual-wielding and playing as an Elite–two classic Halo features–will not continue into the new games. Delhoyo, one of the developers, explained in the stream that one main reason for not including playable Elites is to emphasize Master Chief’s story as well as Spartans in general. The game will also feature time changes from day to night and vice versa and different environmental biomes. The time of day impacts what enemies players will encounter, and the weather will change according to where players are located on the map. There will also be different weapon variants available to players. Arguably, the most exciting news will be the ability to send enemies flying off the rings.
After waiting for years, Halo Infinite is finally coming this fall. The Collector’s Edition of Halo Infinite is now available to pre-order at Best Buy. It includes an energy sword figure, hat, a pair of socks, pins, and an art print. In case fans of the game are curious as to what the ostrich-like bird the moa tastes like, moa burger Pringles are available now.
