Overwatch is getting into the Halloween spirit once again as the team-based shooter’s October event returns next week for its second year, following the trend started by the Summer Games.
The official Overwatch Twitter account confirmed Halloween Terror’s reappearance in a tweet earlier today, teasing fans with a few treats and the event’s Oct. 10 start date. A seven-second video, complete with moody organ music and Junkrat’s maniacal laughter, briefly showed McCree and Reaper in new skins.
Fans can expect more skins to be part of the event when the game updates next Tuesday, as each event has added their own themed sets of costumes, covering the summer and the Olympics (Summer Games), Christmas, Lunar New Year, a special mission for the title organization (Uprising) and the game’s anniversary. Other items like emotes, highlight intros, player icons, sprays, victory poses and voice lines are included in all events.
Last year, Halloween Terror added 12 horror-inspired outfits for the game’s diverse cast. Below is a list of each Halloween Terror 2016 skin.

These once-exclusive skins, along with each of last year’s other Halloween items, may be unlockable once again, if Blizzard gives this event the same treatment as the 2017 Summer Games, when all of 2016 summer-themed items returned at a discounted price.
The previous Halloween event introduce the game’s first player versus environment mode in the limited-time “Junkenstein’s Revenge” mode that put a four player team of Ana, Hanzo, McCree and Soldier: 76 against AI controlled Junkrat, Mercy, Roadhog and Reaper, plus their army of zombie-like omnics. A similar mode was included in April’s Uprising event, which consisted of Mercy, Reinhardt, Torbjörn and Tracer fighting omnics on a special version of King’s Row. However, there was an option to play the mode with any of the then-current roster of heroes, unlike “Junkenstein’s Revenge.”
Blizzard has not revealed any further details for this year’s Halloween celebration.
