Gotham Knights Release Announced for October

Gotham Knights has officially received release date for the major consoles. The game will be released on PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One. After originally being scheduled for a release sometime in 2021, the game will now be released on October 25, 2022. This release date puts the game out just in time for Halloween and will allow players to explore the creepiest city in the DC universe.

The game will take place in an open world Gotham City right after the death of Batman. The decision to develop an open-world game has become very popular among game developers since it provides the players with much more room and access to different missions. The city has fallen into chaos after Batman’s departure and there are new superheroes who are looking to restore peace. Rightwing, Robin, Batgirl, and Red Hood are all playable and will have their own missions. Each character will have unique abilities that allow them to fight crime in the city.

The game will also feature the Court of Owls, a group who operates a league of brainwashed assassins. There is not much known about the Court of Owls but fans are expecting to interact with them a lot throughout the game.

In contrast to many of the multiplayer based games that have been coming out in recent months, Gotham Knights will be mainly a single player game. Although the game is going to be largely single player based, there will be the option for co-op gameplay as well.

The news comes out after the release of the newest Batman movie in the DC universe. As the movie currently sees success, other games such as Rocket League have incorporated Batman and Gotham City to spark interest in fans. As Batman becomes more popular, fans of the franchise should look forward to the game as they will get to experience different sides of Gotham and protect the city.
