After releasing their first official teaser five months ago, Giggleland, created and developed by KMW, is finally here with an official free demo for Giggleland: Terry’s Vegetable Patch. The official Steam trailer was released yesterday as well as the demo that players can try out, and it currently has an 90% positive reviews. Players can only play the official demo on PC through Steam.
The trailer is short and sweet, giving the player the main premise of the demo as well as a few clips of the landscape, which is a farm which seems to be located inside a building. The main objective of the game is to restore the farm to its former glory, and protect the animals and plants of the farm. The game may seem innocent, but the suspenseful music and the eerie landscape says otherwise.
Giggleland: Terry’s Vegetable Patch is a single-player adventure psychological horror game where the main objective in this demo is to protect the farm. According to the Steam description, this is the story KMW is trying to tell through Giggleland, “While searching for her dad, Tolie gets trapped in an old, abandoned attraction at Giggleland Park, once based on the beloved cartoon Terry’s Vegetable Patch. Help Tolie find her way out of the facility while uncovering the real reason it was shut down. But be careful… something else is in there with her… and it’s been waiting.”
KMW have also stated months before that the game will be released in chapters, similar to Bendy and the Ink Machine and Poppy Playtime that also were released in chapters throughout the years. Also according to the description on the Steam page, “Giggleland: Terry’s Vegetable Patch is a free standalone experience that gives you a taste of the full Giggleland game.” For now, players can play the demo as they wait for the full release of the game.
