Another game has now joined the crowded list of October game releases. Today’s announcement from publisher 505 Games has revealed the official release date for Ghostrunner 2, set to arrive on October 26th.
The announcement today also came with a pre-order trailer, which showed new footage, gameplay, and levels players will soon encounter. The highly fast paced action-platformer has players step into the role of a cyber ninja named Jack who parkours through cyberpunk themed environments, using his katana and other abilities to eliminate enemies.
Ghostrunner first released in October 2020, with the sequel announced in development on May 13, 2021. Ghostrunner 2 received its first official full length reveal during a PlayStation Showcase May 24th, 2023.
The announcement today also revealed multiple pre-order editions players can purchase.
Base Edition for $39.99, physical and digital only, with preorders offering two sword skins and two hand skins.
Deluxe Edition $49.99 digital only, includes base edition bonuses, alongside four additional hand skins, four sword skins, a personalized hand hologram.
Brutal Edition $69.99 digital only, includes base and deluxe edition content, along with 48 hours early access to play on Tuesday October 24th, along with the Season Pass, new game mode, four asset packs, animated sword and hand skin, and a motorcycle skin.
Ahead of what has been the biggest game release month this year, Ghostrunner 2 will be coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on October 26th.
