Galar Recap Trailer Unveils Two New Pokémon

Pokémon Sword & Pokémon Shield are just a few days from release and in anticipation of that, Nintendo released a Galar Recap Video. The video showed off several parts of the wild area, a few Pokémon Dynamaxing, few Pokémon Gigantamaxing, and two new Pokémon. Neither of the Pokémon have been officially named, however, based on a possible leak, players could be looking at the new evolutions for Mr. Mime and Yamask.

The first Pokémon shown in the recap trailer could be the Galar exclusive evolution of Mr. Mime, which according to IGN’s leaked Pokédex, is called Mr. Rime. Little is known about this new Pokémon as of yet, however, it is possible that much like Obstagoon, Mr. Rime will evolve from a Galarian Mr. Mime. The next Pokémon revealed in the trailer was a Pokémon whose body appeared to be made up of runes. According to the Twitter leak, this Pokémon’s name is Runerigus. It is currently unconfirmed, but the leak claims that Runerigus will evolve from a Galarian Yamask. It is also unknown if Runerigus will be part of a separate evolutionary line than Cofagrigus. Little is known about either of these Pokémon and none of this information has been confirmed at this time, however, more information will likely be released at a later date.

Fans who pre-ordered the game will receive a number of bonuses including a Gigantamax Meowth, and 12 Quick Balls from the Eshop. Players who pre-ordered the double pack will be able to receive a code for each game that lets players access Dynamax Larvitar and Dynamax Jangmo’o early in the game through the use of Dynamax Crystals. Fans will only have to wait for a few more days to be able to play Pokémon Sword & Pokémon Shield because the games are releasing this Friday, November 15 for Nintendo Switch.
