The game Freedom Planet 2 will be officially released on platforms such as PS5, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch this year. It was announced on January 23rd that the game will be coming to these platforms on April 4th of this year. Along with the launch date being announced the release date trailer was also released.
Freedom Planet 2 is game that is being published by Marvelous USA, and XSeed and being developed by GalaxyTrail. The game can also played on PC and was released on Steam in September 2022. The first original Freedom Planet game was released back in 2014. Freedom Planet 2 is the sequel to the game Freedom Planet.
In Freedom Planet 2 players will “return to the vibrant world” called “Avalice” and will “fight an ancient threat”. In the time since the players have seen the characters, the characters have honed “their signature abilities” which has made them “more formidable than ever before”. You can make use of “Liliac’s speed with her Dragon Boost, reach new heights with Carol’s Jump Disc or motorcycle, or take more measured approach with Mila’s shield”. And the new character Neera who will be a “playable character, can use her powerful Frost Arts to punish foes. According to the PlayStation Store website:

On Steam Freedom Planet 2 reviews were “overwhelmingly positive” while the “user score” for the game on Metacritic is 8.1 which is “generally favorable”. It’s clear that the players have been enjoying the game thus far since its release on PC. So players if you enjoyed the game on PC then get ready because the game will be available for gaming consoles in a couple of months.
