We’re less than one week away until Luminous Productions’ Forspoken is unleashed upon the video gaming world. The Square Enix published title is set to officially launch next week on January 24, 2023, for the PlayStation 5 and PC. The developer has just released a crucial component for those playing on PC, the requirements in order to run the game, and it’s a bit of a doozy. The required section is not the most harrowing of specs considering that most RIGs have modern-day tech running in them, but there’s one major component that has everyone stifled a bit, the frames per second.
On the required side, the developer requires to have, at the very least, an Intel Core i7/AMD Ryzen 5 1600 with NVIDIA GTX 1060/AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT. Here’s the kicker, with all of that, you’re looking to get at most, a resolution of 720p with a frame rate of 30 FPS. That is unbelievably low for the spec level they’re asking for. Even more wild is the recommended side, which sees a bit of a jump in specs only for it to still offer 30 FPS, albeit with a 1440p resolution. The only way to achieve a potential 60 FPS is to go with the ultra specs, which show an NVIDIA RTX 4080/AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT.
Those two graphics cards are some of the newest ones on the market right now, and as a result, very hard to obtain. This essentially means that those with a fairly medium build for today’s modern tech on PC gaming, might not even be able to get a fully realized 60 frames per second unless they attempt to build a new PC. This has the PC gaming community fuming at the moment, as the technological aspect of the title was one of the major selling points. Those with a PlayStation 5 will more than likely not have any issues and can enjoy most of the bells, but the FPS is unknown at this time. Either way, we won’t be waiting long to find out.
