Gematsu reports that the title is set to launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on August 19 alongside the release of the title’s free “Black Hawk Down” single player campaign.
Delta Force is set in two locations, with the single-player campaign set in Somalia in 1993. The multiplayer mode is set within the region of Ahsarah in the year 2035 . Players assume the role of an elite Delta Force Operator and elite members of G.T.I. including various Operators like Tempest, Stinger, Luna, Toxik, and Hackclaw. Your goal is to participate in military operations to restore order in Somalia, while in multiplayer you’ll focus on extracting valuables or defeating the opposing team in large-scale combat.
Delta Force will be launching its “Break” season on July 9 including new maps for Operations and Warfare, a new Operator, and the introduction of swimming and diving. The map Tide Prison will have players infiltrate as prisoners, collect gear, solve puzzles solo or with a squad. The map, Cyclone, is designed for infantry and vehicular combat with the new dynamic weather system. The update includes a new Operator in Tempest with enhanced mobility, an exoskeleton, evasion device, and who can disarm enemies. A new command hub and call-in support feature have been added.
Developer Team Jade has plans for a crossover with Arknights for late summer. With Stinger receiving an Arknight Executor-themed appearance and Luna’s Arknight’s Schwarz inspired Appearance.
Team Jade aims to expand Delta Force‘s audience by bringing the title to consoles. Heightening anticipation for this release with brand new maps, new characters, a new weather system, and crossover Team Jade are simply sweetening the deal for series fans to try it on console and for newcomers to give it their first go.
