Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Takes Over Apex Legends

Apex Legends is being taken over by Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth in a new crossover event. This is the first crossover between these two games. Announced January 4th on social media, the crossover brings many iconic items from Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth to the world of Apex Legends. Players will have the opportunity to collect special event items through event packs, according to the announcement on their website.

This crossover brings 36 different items to collect and is guaranteed not to get duplicates of these event items. Players can collect these items through randomly awarded event packs. When collecting these items, be on the lookout for Milestone Awards. These can be found on the event packs page. If a player ends up completing the entire set of the special event items, that player will receive the One-Winged Angel Death Box, which is a new equipable cosmetic item.

Each player can also earn a new event currency called “Gil.” This currency can be used to buy special items in the event rewards shop. Players can earn Gil by completing challenges and playing in the event mode. The shop will rotate weekly, so players will be able to purchase different items. Special Event Packs will also be available for purchase, and Gil can also be used towards a player’s Battle Pass Stars to continue their progress for the season.

In terms of weapons, two confirmed items will be two different Buster Swords, the R5 and the R2R5, that can be unlocked. The Buster Sword R5, however, will not have any gameplay abilities and will be a Universal Mythic Melee Cosmetic. The Buster Sword R2R5 will be able to be picked up and used by players. The swords will not be available after this event. Other collectibles include six purchasable skins of Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth characters.

This event will go from January 9th through 30th. Besides in-game drops, there will also be Twitch drops from January 12th through 30th. Be on the lookout for special stickers that you can collect. This crossover is sure to bring hype to the Final Fantasy franchise as they prepare for the upcoming launch of their new game.
