FBC: Firebreak, the three-player cooperative shooter, has received a brand new trailer from its developer Remedy Entertainment. Gematsu reports the title of the new trailer is “Hazards on the Job.”Remedy Entertainment has also announced new content in the form of a live trailer that will begin on April 24. FBC: Firebreak will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and will be available as day one launch title in the Game Catalog for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members, Gamepass Ultimate for Xbox Series X|S, and PC Game Pass for PC.
FBC Firebeak is set within a mysterious federal agency under assault by otherworldly forces. With the agency’s siege reaching a boiling point, Firebreak, a versatile unit will plunge in to solve the building’s strange crises and restore order.
GamesRadar+ interviewed FBC: Firebreak Director Mike Kayatta and asked how the team decided on a three-player game structure, Mike Kayatta responded “We did start with exploring four players which is kind of I think a little bit more common although you are seeing a lot more three player games and it just kind of felt organically better when we had three people it was you know we have kind of a chaotic very like action filled experience and we really want you to understand where your friends are and of course like keeping track of three friends instead of two friends is a little bit more difficult and things just felt a lot more cohesive maybe with three so it’s sort of like just an organic decision that happened pretty early on.”
You’ll assume the role of one of FBC’s own first responders aiming to contain the chaos. Success hinges on successful cooperative play among three players online. You’ll be able to customize your Firebreaker’s Crisis Kit, including grenades, support items, and paranatural augments. The title features a direct tie in with the title Control in The Federal Bureau of Control.
Remedy Entertainment seems to push for a fun and visceral multiplayer experience set within the world of Control. Fans have been treated to consistent updates on the titles launch, and it may have proven a successful strategy given the team’s efforts. In just a few days we will receive more feedback from the developers and get us a step closer to launch.
