This has certainly been a big year for the formerly unknown space-faring comic book team known as the Guardians of the Galaxy. Along with a sequel to their hit 2014 movie and a ride in Disney California Adventure, Telltale has made an acclaimed adventure game based on the characters. The first two episodes have been released to positive feedback from fans and critics alike, and now Telltale has announced the release of the third episode of Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series, titled “More Than a Feeling.”
In this third episode (named after Boston’s 1976 hard rock hit), the Guardians trace the origins of the Eternity Forge to a mysterious temple in an effort to unlock the relic’s true power. As with the previous episode’s look into Rocket’s origins on Halfworld, “More Than a Feeling” focuses on another Guardian’s backstory, specifically Gamora and her tumultuous relationship with her sister Nebula. With dangerous villains hell-bent on getting their hands on the Forge, players are left to make a crucial decision: either destroy it or use it’s power.
The game features a range of vocal talents behind the characters, including Scott Porter (The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series) as Star-Lord, Emily O’Brien (Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor) as Gamora, and Uncharted‘s Nathan Drake himself, Nolan North, as the voice of Rocket Raccoon.
Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series’ third episode, “More Than a Feeling,” is now available to download for $4.99 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC and Mac, as well as on the iTunes App Store and Google Play. A “Season Pass Disc” is also available at retailers for $29.99.
