Today marks the beginning of The Epic Games Store Holiday Sale. Starting today until January 6, more than 1,3000 games, editions, and add-ons are on sale on the store, with discounts ranging from 10% to 95%. In addition to the discounts, every full game over $14.99 gets a $10 off coupon. There is no limit on how many games you can purchase. The coupons are limitless until the sale ends. With the start of the Holiday sale, Epic Games is also giving out a free game every day during the sale. The first free game available today is Shenmue III.
Shenmue III puts players back in the shoes of Ryo Hazuki as he seeks to solve the mystery behind the Phoenix Mirror, an artifact sought after by his father’s killer. His journey takes him to an immersive representation of rural China, brimming with activity and surrounded by beautiful landscapes. Throughout the game, Ryo will visit towns and mountain villages where he can further his training, try his hand at gambling, play arcade games, and work part-time jobs while he investigates the Pheonix Mirror.
Free games can be claimed on the store or by logging in on your Epic Games account on any mobile web browser. You’ll be able to download the games on your PC later. There are also free-in-game items that Epic is giving away from certain games. Anytime during the Holiday sale, Fortnite players can get the free “Blizzabelle Outfit” by redeeming it from the Item Shop. In Warframe, players can get a great set of starter-friendly skins. The “Oscira Longsword Skin” and the “Oscira Staff Skin” are universal and cover all of the starter melee weapons which means new players will look formidable right from the start. Players logging into Rocket League can get the “Twista: Special Edition Inverted Wheels.”
