Elden Ring Reaches 20 Million Sales Worldwide Before One-Year Anniversary

Elden Ring continues to make its mark on the gaming industry as it celebrates over 20 million shipped copies since its February 25, 2022 release, not even a full year before its one-year anniversary. The achievement was announced in a tweet from the game’s official Twitter account and a statement on Bandai Namco’s website. In both announcements From Software and Bandai Namco thanked the fan base for their continued support throughout the year.

Additionally, a press release for the announcement was also published hinting at possible DLC content for the game, promising to develop more ways for their fans to “…enjoy the world of Elden Ring in the future.” Regardless, even if there were no new story content the game’s fan base have proved to be able to find their own fun within the wonderful world From Software has already developed.

From the minds Hidetaka Miyazaki, creator of the Dark Souls franchise, and George R.R. Martin, author of the best-selling fantasy series A Song of Ice and Fire, ELDEN RING, crafted an open world that enraptured fans around the world. Since its release, ELDEN RING gained an overwhelming amount of praise from the video game community, receiving numerous awards including Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2022.

ELDEN RING is currently available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via STEAM.
