After four years since the release of Celeste, Maddy Thorson is back with her third game called Earthblade. The game appears to have the same pixel artstyle that was found in both Celeste and Towerfall. While the trailer does hint at a more Metroidvania gameplay style, rather than the room-to-room Super Meat Boy design found in Celeste. Not much is known about it as of this writing, besides the estimated release year of 2024. I hope to hear more when it’s ready to start its full marketing push. But for now, check out the reveal trailer below for more info on this soon-to-be-anticipated game.
