It looks like we won’t be waiting much longer to see what EA and Koei Tecmo’s Omega Force are working on. Only less than two weeks after the very interesting partnership was announced, the brand new IP, now dubbed Wild Hearts, will make its world wide debut on YouTube this Wednesday, September 28. This will come in the form of reveal trailer, is currently being prepped for a special premier which you can check out here.
The trailers description reads “Prepare for an epic adventure set in a fantasy world inspired by feudal Japan.” followed by a volley of social media accounts related to the title that have since gone live. Looking at the image, the initial impression is that it looks has a Monster Hunter hunting style to it, which is only helped by the name itself. Neither EA nor Omega Force have elaborated further on this IP, which only make this upcoming reveal that much more interesting.
Omega Force is of course well known for the being the main developers of the famous Dynasty Warriors franchise. They’ve also worked on numerous spin-offs with some of the most popular IP’s in the industry. This includes Dynasty Warriors: Gundam, Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage, One Piece: Pirate Warriors, Hyrule Warriors, Fire Emblem Warriors, and Persona 5 Strikers. This will be the one of the few times that the studio is branching out to create a brand new IP, and the first time that they’ll work with EA. Either way, we can’t wait to see what Wild Hearts is all about.
