EA Access For PlayStation 4 Launch Date Announced

Last month, EA announced that EA Access is coming to the PlayStation 4; today, they have announced that it will launch on July 24. The service is also available on Xbox and on PC as Origin Access. EA Access is a subscription service that originally launched in 2014. Think of it as something similar to Xbox Game Pass but limited to EA’s games. There are a number of other benefits that the service provides other than access to its titles. For one, you can try many new EA games before launch day with a 10-hour trial. The save progress will get carried over if you decide to get the full game. Two, EA Access grants players with a 10% discount to their games. You could save on EA digital purchases on PlayStation 4. This includes full games, season passes, DLC and Ultimate Team content.

There are two options for a subscription. A monthly subscription costs $4.99 and an annual subscription costs $29.99. The subscription doesn’t transfer between platforms. If you already have a subscription on Xbox or PC, you will have to get another if you want to play on PlayStation 4 or any other platform that EA Access is available on.

An EA Access subscription grants players the opportunity to play games from the EA Vault. The EA Vault consists of such games as Battlefield V, FIFA 19, NHL 19, NBA Live 19, Madden 19, Unravel Two, A Way Out, Burnout Paradise Remastered, Fe, The Sims 4, Mass Effect Andromeda, Titanfall 2 and more. The service will be available just in time for some of the new EA games coming this Fall such as Madden 20 and FIFA 20 which can be played with the 10-hour trial.

When EA first made the announcement, Matt Bilbey, Executive VP of Strategic Growth said “As we continue to invest in digital and subscription services, bringing great games to even more players across more platforms is an exciting opportunity for everyone, our goal is to give players more choice to try and play our games wherever and however they choose, and we’re happy to bring EA Access to PlayStation 4”.
