Capcom’s Dragon’s Dogma 2 has officially been rated in the country of Saudi Arabia. The General Commission for Audiovisual Media (GCAM), which is the country’s official organization for ratings, has given the title a “suitable for ages 18 and above.” When an upcoming title gets any official rating from any ratings board around the world, this is usually a sign that the title will be getting an official release date soon, as well as being released in in the very near future. There have also been reports that an “undisclosed game” will be coming from Capcom before the end of the fiscal year.
This could mean a couple of different things for Capcom. It could mean the eventual release date for Dragon’s Dogma 2, or it could point to another one of their IP’s that hasn’t seen a new entry in a while. This includes Monster Hunter, which is slowly winding down the updates for the current iteration Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. We could also see new entry in the popular Resident Evil franchise, which is once again enjoying major success thanks to this year’s remake of Resident Evil 4.
As for Dragon’s Dogma 2, we know that the game eventually coming at some point. The game was initially announced in June 2022, with an actual gameplay trailer being revealed in May 2023. Capcom continued to offer updates this past June and September, while also confirming that the title will be developed using the RE Engine, giving the overall aesthetics huge graphical upgrade. Hopefully, Capcom will give us an official release date soon, with The Game Awards 2023 being the perfect place to make this happen should they choose to do it there. Dragon’s Dogma 2 will launch for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/Series S, and PC.
