Destiny 2: Shadowkeep Launch Trailer Released

Today, Bungie released the launch trailer for Destiny 2: Shadowkeep. The expansion will bring in new quests for Exotics and Activities, a new Dungeon, a new raid called Garden of Salvation, Close Quarters Finishers, Armor 2.0, new Cooperative Strikes, new Crucible updates, arenas and playlists, and the Season of the Undying.

Last week, Bungie released the latest ViDoc which provided further details about Shadowkeep and what’s next for Destiny 2. Shadowkeep has players going back to the Moon in an effort to help Eris Morn deal with a new threat called Nightmares. Bungie said that Destiny 2: Shadowkeep is the first step in how they plan to evolve Destiny 2. Starting with Shadowkeep, seasons will connect more than ever before because Bungie will be telling one continuous story that will shift from season to season.

Shadowkeep also introduces new updates to the gameplay of Destiny 2 with Armor 2.0 and finishing moves. Armor 2.0 provides the opportunity for players to come up with thousands of builds for their characters. Finishing moves allow players to smash targets with style when they have reached a certain health threshold.

Shadowkeep launches on October 1. This is also when Destiny 2: New Light is available. New Light is a free-to-play version of Destiny 2 that includes the base game. Shadowkeep and Season Passes require a purchase in order to play. Season of the Undying begins on October 5 and sees the Vex return from The Black Garden.

Destiny 2: Shadowkeep is available to pre-order in three editions. The standard edition comes with the Two-Tailed Fox Exotic Rocket Launcher and an exclusive Chasing Kitsune Ornament. The Digital Deluxe Edition comes with four season passes, each offering unique and exclusive activities and rewards, and exclusive Eris Morn themed items such as an Exotic Emote, Exotic Ghost Shell, and an Emblem. The Collector’s Edition includes everything from both the Standard and Digital Deluxe Edition. If you plan to play on PC, then you’ll be able to link your Destiny accounts on Battle.net and Steam as Destiny 2 will be moving to Steam when Shadowkeep launches.
