Without a doubt, one of the most mysterious games to be announced in the past couple of years is Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding. Kojima himself is famous for sharing little to no information when it comes to his projects before they release, but we have received only the bare minimum when it comes to his latest title, including yet another cryptic and otherworldly trailer at E3 2018. However, we may actually get some more at the end of the month, as Kojima Productions has announced on their twitter that they will have a stage presentation at the 2018 Tokyo Game Show (TGS) for Death Stranding.

TGS, known as Japan’s E3, is the premier annual video game convention that showcases upcoming Japanese produced games, as well as some that are developed in North American and Europe. The event takes place in Chiba, Japan, and goes from Wednesday September 19 to Sunday September 23. Kojima Productions will take to the stage on Sunday September 23, the last day of the event, with various Japanese voice actors and actresses and Kojima himself. Unfortunately no other information was given in regards to the stage event, but knowing Kojima it will undoubtedly be something that will have everyone talking afterwards.
Death Stranding began production shortly after Kojima and Konami’s ugly split in 2015. Teaming up with The Walking Dead actor Norman Reedus, Kojima set out to make something completely original and unique. The voice acting/motion capture cast quickly grew to an ensemble one, as it now includes Mads Mikkelsen, Lead Seydoux, and Lindsay Wagner, with the latter two being revealed at E3 2018. With so much going on with the games production, it’s hard not to imagine that Kojima has something huge planned for the stage event at TGS 2018, or at the very least another strange trailer with a fetus inside of Reedus’ body giving a thumbs up.
Death Stranding is slated to launch on the PlayStation 4 with no release date announced as of yet. The Death Stranding stage event is scheduled to take place at TGS 2018 on September 23.
