Dead Rising 3 is going to be avaliable on PC September 5 through the Steam online store. The game that places you in the shoes of Nick Ramos, to kill hundreds of thousands of zombies, will launch at the price of $50. Steam is offering a special price for those looking to purchase the game early. A 24-hour only sale is setting a pre-order price at $37.49, which is a 25% discount for the previous Xbox One exclusive.
Capcom took to Steam’s forums to discuss the PC requirements for the game. Although the news will excite PC gamers, there is still concerns that the PC gaming community may have.
“Now that the game is coming to Steam, there has been a ton of positive response and excitement in the community as well,” said a post. “Allow me to set the record straight — while Dead Rising 3 is optimized to run at 30 frames per second for gameplay reasons, you can expect it to still run fine uncapped under most conditions provided you have a capable enough hardware.”
There is also clarification of possible bugs when the game is booted. Many issues can arise after a PC tries to play the game and PC gamers should be aware of their hardware’s limitations.
“Bear in mind the frame rate will fluctuate in uncapped mode in certain areas, particularly later in the game, where streets are literally filled with zombies and other complex objects,” said the post. “Couple that with an open world sandbox game engine, big explosions, complex physics interaction, and huge draw distance and you’re bound to experience dips here and there.”
