Darksiders III Announces Details for Two DLC Packs

Fans of the Darksiders series are anticipating the next release for THQ Nordic and Gunfire Games’ Darksiders III, which is slated to hit the shelves this November. A chaotic invasion by the creatures of the Seven Deadly Sins has fallen upon the world and it’s time for Fury to take them out. The Sins that have had their menacing designs published thus far include: Sloth, Wrath, and Envy.

As the time until the release date ticks down, Darksiders III has already revealed two upcoming DLCs that will become available post-launch. The first, The Crucible, offers a challenge to Fury by one who desires to see her true strength. In wave-based battles, compete for new gear and loot in seemingly never-ending clashes. The second DLC pack, Keepers of the Void, requires Fury to eradicate an “ancient threat” in a location called the Serpent Holes. This play area has many puzzles inserted into the environment that will test mind and body with an ultimate goal in mind: attaining the new Abyssal Armor.

Both DLC packs have yet to issue exact release dates or their price structures. However, online pre-orders for the Darksiders III Deluxe Edition details their inclusion for approximately $10 USD more than the regularly priced game.

The new title expands upon the apocalyptic universe from the previous game six years ago by offering an evolving, on-going story to players and Fury returns to the hack-and-slash gameplay in full form. The entire THQ Nordic team has shown excitement in revisiting this favorite franchise and offers players the opportunity to hunt for even more rewards as one of the mysterious Four Horsemen. An end goal of balancing good and evil will require new weapons and abilities that players will unlock in Darksiders III as Fury fights creatures in Earth’s deadly surroundings. Darksiders III is available for pre-order for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
