Darksiders 3 Gets a November Release Date

THQ Nordic and developer Gunfire Games have revealed a release date—and a bunch of different editions of the game—for their upcoming title Darksiders 3. Revealed last year, the game will release on November 27 and follows Fury (the sister of the Horsemen of the Apocalypse) as she attempts to rid the world of the seven deadly sins.

“Earth is now overrun by the Seven Deadly Sins and the mystical creatures and degenerated beings that serve them,” the Darksiders 3 website reads. “The Charred Council calls upon Fury to battle from the heights of heaven down through the depths of hell in a quest to restore the balance and prove that she is the most powerful of the Horsemen.” As such, Fury will follow in the footsteps of previous Darksiders protagonists War and Death, traversing an earth that is war-torn and scorched by hellfire.

The regular Darksiders 3 is up for pre-purchase now at $60. For serious Darksiders fans who want more than the basic experience, two special editions of the game are going to be available for purchase. The first of the two is the Darksiders 3 Collector’s Edition, priced at $150 and containing an art book, the soundtrack, exclusive DLC, a Steelbook case, and an 11-inch Fury statue along with the base game. The Apocalypse Edition, which will go for $400, comes with everything in the previous edition, plus Death, War and Vulgrim the shopkeeper statues, a Four Horsemen amulet, and a poster-size wall scroll.

Other versions of the game are going up for sale also: the Blades & Whip Edition is an Xbox One and PS4 exclusive, and contains “not only Darksiders III, but also Darksiders Warmastered and the Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition.” Meanwhile, the Digital Deluxe Edition give console players 24 hours’ early access, and PC users will receive the game’s soundtrack. Both of these editions grant access to “two post-release DLCs.”

Darksiders 3 releases in November for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.

In my free time, I function as an unnecessarily specific gaming encyclopedia. I also play the violin, binge crime/detective procedural shows (still not sure why), and do a large amount of digital painting. I'm probably too attached to Dragon Age, but not really inclined to do anything about it. I'm a huge fan of cosplay, foxes, the prose of Jenny Lawson, and Strong Female Characters™.
