Horror games have been on a steady rise, with many indie and triple-A developers creating all-new experiences and reviving dormant IPs. And one company that has consistently created all-new horror experiences and forged its own path is Bloober Team. They have been responsible for many great horror games in recent years, such as Layers of Fear and the remake of the beloved Silent Hill franchise. One of their most recent horror titles, Cronos: The New Dawn, had a gameplay showcase for its upcoming DLC, Cronos: Lazarus, back in September, and now they’ve just dropped a story/release-date trailer. Cronos: Lazarus is set to release on December 3rd for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Cronos: The New Dawn is the latest survival horror game by Bloober Team and was generally well received, combining elements from many great horror games while remaining its own thing. And now it’s back with a brand-new DLC, Cronos: Lazarus, a brutal new chapter in the story that introduces a new protagonist, the Warden, and a faster, more aggressive combat style as you fight to complete a mission the Collective must never uncover. And with the latest story trailer drop, we get a clearer picture of the overall story: it looks like the Warden is going against the Collective, going out on his own terms, and understands he will die in the end, but is keeping something from them. The trailer showcases gameplay similar to the gameplay showcase, but the DLC is much more combat-heavy for those who enjoyed the overall combat.
Cronos: Lazuras is the next chapter in the Cronos universe, further expanding the story and gameplay. And as mentioned before, this DLC is much more combat-focused, so if you are a fan of the base game’s combat, it takes it to the next level. Also, at the time of writing, the game is 50 percent off, so now’s the best time to start. Cronos: Lazarus is set to release on December 3rd for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
