Square Enix has announced a special Day One Edition for their upcoming game Lords of the Fallen.
We covered Square Enix and CI Games’ Lords of the Fallen, Dark Souls inspired third person action RPG, several months back. We told you about the game’s influences and theme, and even talked about what t expect as far as story and gameplay. Now, the latest information on the game is that Square Enix and CI Games are offering a special limited Day One edition of the game with access to exclusive promotional materials and free DLC.
According to the press release for the day one limited edition, players will have access to several weapons only available (at least initially) though the limited edition, an exclusive story DLC called The Monk’s Decipher, and the game’s soundtrack.
The Monk’s Decipher DLC will expand upon the game’s story slightly, giving players more insight into the game’s events:
The Monk’s Decipher DLC offers more single player action, uncovering hidden secrets throughout the three worlds Harkyn explores in Lords of the Fallen, while the Demonic Weapons pack includes three devastating new weapons.
While overall available details on what the limited edition content actually includes are scarce, more content is always nice when purchasing a game. Everyone who pre-orders or has pre-ordered Lords of the Fallen will be automatically upgraded to the Day One edition while supplies last, so if you’re interested, now’s the time to grab the game and secure access to the new materials.
Lords of the Fallen will be released on October 31st, and will be available on the Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Halloween seems to be an appropriate time for a dark, combat-heavy RPG, but if you want to secure your access to the limited edition content, pre-order now or forever hold your peace.
