Celeste’s Collector’s Edition Will Welcome the New Year

After an extremely successful release back in January of this year, Celeste is getting an interesting collector’s edition that will be available for a limited time. Nominated for several awards in 2018, this independent title from Matt Makes Games and Noel Berry took home the prize for Best Independent Game and Games for Impact Award at The Game Awards 2018. The well-deserved collector’s set will be readily available for gamers on January 1 through Limited Run Games, a game distributor that specializes in transitioning primarily digital games into physical media. Check out the announcement of the collector’s edition from Limited Run Games below:

The Celeste Collector’s Edition has a great collection of tokens and callbacks to the memorable game that left an impact in the gaming community for the whole year. Included in the box are: a physical copy of the full game, the entire soundtrack on cassette tape, a Steelbook case, a colorful sticker sheet, the Celeste Mountain patch, a postcard, a breathtaking poster of the mountains, a recipe for homemade strawberry pie, and a plush strawberry to encourage players to get back into the game to collect any of those strawberries they may have missed. Obviously not everyone has the means to play cassette tapes, so they are throwing in a digital code to download the game’s soundtrack. The praised soundtrack is also being offered on vinyl.

The Celeste Collector’s Edition will be available for the PlayStation 4 and the Nintendo Switch at a price of $74.99 USD. There are a very limited amount of these that will go on sale in the New Year with only 2,500 being made available for the die-hards. Since Limited Run Games is expecting them to sell quickly, they will be selling them in two timed batches on January 1 with the first going on sale at 7 AM PT and the second going on sale at 3 PM PT.
