Cassette Beasts is Officially Available on Steam and Microsoft Store

Cassette Beasts has officially been released for Steam and Microsoft Store as of April 26, 2023, according to Respawnstation. Created by Bytten Studio and Raw Fury, Cassette Beasts is a monster-collecting RPG akin to Pokémon and Temtem, where players collect, fuse and battle with an assortment of over 100 different monsters.

Some of the qualities that makes Cassette Beasts unique from other members of the monster-collection genre is that you can fuse each of your monsters in battle to create over a thousand new creatures with different abilities and effects. Additionally the game is also open world with available co-op features that allows players to play alongside or against friends. Finally, another point of note is their openness towards modding. While this is only for the online community right now, the creators have a flexible modding system in place for players who wish to modify and shake up the way the game is usually played.

At the moment the game is only available for the PC through Steam and Microsoft Store, however, Cassette Beasts will be released to consoles on May 25. The list of consoles that will have Cassette Beasts are as follows: Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Xbox Game Pass.

At the moment, there are a few ways to purchase the game. For those who are not sure if the game is their style, players can get the demo of the game for free on both Steam and the Microsoft Store. The main game itself can be bought for $19.99 on both stores, with a purchasable deluxe option on Steam for $35.96. The other way people can buy the game is through buying the Microsoft Game Pass at $9.99.

With all of these available options to access the game, and a plethora of positive reviews to back it up, fans now have access to Cassette Beasts on PC, with console versions of the game coming in the near future.

Alex Balderston: I am a news writer with a love of all things video games. My dad got me into video games at four years old with Backyard Baseball and since then I have been hooked. I have a sweet spot for Nintendo games, however I am always looking for the new games to spark my interest.
