Today, Capcom announced several updates for some of its upcoming titles in the latest Capcom Spotlight. The majority of announcements came in the form of release date reveals but some of what was revealed today was updates to other games. Capcom shared information about Mega Man Battle Network: Legacy Collection, Street Fighter 6, Exoprimal, Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective, Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, and Resident Evil 4. Here is a breakdown of everything that was revealed.
Mega Man Battle Network: Legacy Collection launches on April 14, 2023, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam. It features all ten mainline games in the Battle Network series. The collection will include all 499 Patch Cards from Battle Network 4 onwards that were only in Japan as physical cards. Mega Man Battle Network: Legacy Collection will also be available digitally as two volumes. Vol. 1 contains Battle Network 1-3 and Vol. 2 contains 4-6. Capcom revealed the last color commentator for Steet Fighter 6. The next entry in the Street Fighter franchise has added a real-time commentary feature that has the voices of popular fighting game community commentators calling out the action as they would in a real-life tournament. The final color commentator joining the roster of 8 is Hikaru Takahashi. Street Fighter 6 launches on June 2, 2023.
In celebration of its 40th anniversary, Capcom has announced Capcom Town, a digital theme park that will have a digital museum and other buildings. Capcom Town will go live on June 12, 2023. Capcom has announced that a Capcom ID account will be required to play multiplayer games online such as Resident Evil Re: Verse, Exoprimal, and the online features of Street Fighter 6. A new story trailer was released for the upcoming Exoprimal which is expected to launch on July 14, 2023, for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. The game is also available day one on Xbox Game Pass. Capcom announced that an open beta test that will take place from March 16-March 19. Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective launches on June 30, 2023, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. The revival features tons of never-before-seen illustrations, newly arranged versions of all 37 tracks and one brand-new song. Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, the upcoming expansion for Rise is set to launch on April 28, 2023, for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4. Sunbreak launches with all post-release content up to Free Title Update 3. Information on Free Title Update 5 will be revealed in April.
A new trailer for Resident Evil: Death Island was released. The new animated movie releases in the Summer. the demo for the upcoming Resident Evil 4 is now available. The Chainsaw demo features Leon’s first steps into the mysterious European Village. Unlike previous demos which were timed, this demo will not be so players can enjoy the demo for as long as they want. Resident Evil 4 launches on March 24, 2023, for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
